Hi everyone!

Spacejock2 (of yWrite) recommended this site to me so here I am.

I'm a copyeditor and proofreader and this looks like a fantastic place to keep up with all the changes and trends in the industry right now. I'm looking forward to participating in the discussions but I think it will take a day or two to poke around and get a feel for the place. There's a LOT going on here! :)

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Behind you!
Nice to meet you, Pauline. Turn south and wave; I'm on the other side of Lake Ontario.

Maryn, squinting to see you

Bienvenue, Pauline. There is, indeed, a lot of stuff 'round here.

I looked at your site and bookmarked it, you may get some business from me in the (near) future.

And I'm glad to see another Canuck on these forums, ain't that many of us ;)

Sault Ste. Marie (Sault is pronounced "sue" and usually shortened to "the Soo" locally). It's at the centre of the three largest Great Lakes.

Ha, how do people pronounce it if they don't know? I grew up in Kenora (last Ontario stop before Manitoba) and went to college in Toronto, so I've always called it "Soo". Do people say "Salty Marie"?
