I realized yesterday when I posted in an agent thread that I have been lurking in this forum for forever and never posted. Soooo I filled out my profile and info a bit and posted and now I'm here to officially try to get involved.

I have not done forums in a LONG time so I hope I don't prove how rusty my skills are. Ha. :)

Anyway, I'm Joey. My pen-name is J.M. Lee. I focus mostly in novels (fiction, focusing in YA) and short story work. I'm also an illustrator; if you're a follower of Neil Gaiman you might even have seen some of my work! Also, if any of you were around the 2010 NYC Midnight short story competition, I was around for that too. I wrote the story about the cockroaches with the top hats (alas, I missed the final round by a hair).

My current projects are two YA action/adventure novels, both on submission/review with agents, and an online graphic novel/web-comic which I'm working on with an illustrator friend of mine. Since finishing up the editing work on my second novel, I've decided to take a break from writing to work on platform and community building... which is what brought me here. I've been lurking for years, now I come out of the shadows all creepy-like. OoooOoo.

OK, enough of that. Hi again, hope to be around more often!

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, hello!

My Neil Gaiman hat-feather is being part of the Cabal illustration collection/project from last summer. Unfortunately there have been all sorts of delays with the production... Ah well :) Patience is key!
