The other day, I wandered the book section at Target because I was bored -- always a hazardous exercise! I found several intriguing books that were woman's fiction or even (gasp!) mainstream fiction with a mystery element. For example, Neighborhood Watch by Cammie McGovern or books by Lisa Scottoline and Chevy Stevens. Well someone found a way to interest me in mainstream fiction -- and a murder. :tongue
Some of them look great, but it's hard to tell where to start. I'm looking for recommendations so that next time I'm in Target, I can concentrate on the important things, like the YA books and finding out which DVDs are on sale. I'm most interested in books with a suburban setting, preferably with a woman at the center. I'm not really looking for books with cop or detective heroes, although I'll keep them in mind anyway because ya never know...
