So, I had this fantastic idea for my next WIP yesterday, and was wondering if you guys could help me out with some book rec's.
What I'm looking for is novels - preferably thrillers - which involve a kidnapping or hostage taking where a ransom is paid. It's another Roman setting, and I'm not really interested in a 'shoot-out' style ending [even if it is with swords!] I'm think along the lines of the movie Proof of Life.
