Just got done writing for the day, and some great stuff happened.
I was struggling with the structure of the chapter I've been slogging through - certain things weren't working out for me, but I figured I'd go back and fix it in revision. Then I got to a point where one perfect sentence spilled out of me and I said to myself "Self, this sentence should start the chapter and you should re-structure the action to accomodate it." Well, I almost finished the chapter today, and I'm so psyched about it. This is the singular most fantastic experience I've had working on my first novel, which is great, since it's been very tough-going. I was high at the end of my writing session, and I still feel great!
This will certainly be a moment to cling to when things aren't going so well in the future.
Oh, and I also came up with the best title idea yet - it's actually good, as opposed to all the other title ideas I've had, which have been horrible.
