This time MetroPCS has gone TOO FAR!!! But seriously folks, here's what I've got: a Samsung Freeform iii. I log in and it takes me to that "If the webpage doesn't automatically redirect you, CLICK HERE" page. After a long wait I click there and it disregards my login. I have checked my spelling very carefully and it even lets me view my typing on passwords before encrypting it. Neat! Authentication caching is on and no errors come up regarding memory, security certificates or stuff like that. And I cleared my cache and cookies as well.
One thing to consider is MetroPOS, er sorry MetroPCS blocks access to "social sites" on the basic plan. (Not just Facebook and Twitter, but Linked In, Meetup and other sites I need access to for a lot of professional reasons.) You can view 'em, but logging in is another five bucks per month. A big reason I'm dumping them next payday. But if it counted a vBulletin site as a social site it would send up the "Untrusted Certificate" error and that hasn't happened.
So this may be a moot point soon, but if shawkins, Dr. Gopherus or any of you mobile genius regulars have come across this situation and know the secret to beating it, it would be very helpful and appreciated. Thanks!

Behind you!
I'll keep you company, mario, while we wait for the geniuses to arrive.

Maryn, whose cell phone does not take pictures--but holds a charge while turned on for a week, so ha-ha!

Have you checked the "remember me" box? That can help sometimes. Also, check your mobiles browser to see if cookies are enabled, as vBulletin uses cookies to determine if you're currently logged in. If cookies are disabled, when the page reloads after "authenticating", vBulletin doesn't see that cookie that says you authenticated, and you're back at the home page without having logged in.

BW no, which makes me think now that it's either a vBulletin issue or a MetroPOS issue. But thanks anyway.

I suspect that it's MetroPOS blocking URLs ending in .php since I've been able to confirm that they block non-forum sites that have .aspx or .php suffixes.

Seriously? Because, you know, who ever goes to a webpage that has interactive pages? Seriously?!?!?!

It's Okay . . .

Nothing really that important is happening here.
It can wait.
