This is the first I've heard about this. (I knew she wasn't well, but that was it.) I had the pleasure of meeting her in person and getting some writing advice from her. She was a wonderful lady.

She passed away yesterday. Adrenal cancer, very sad. Apparently her medical costs had skyrocketed to the point that her family had to fundraise for her treatment.

I didn't know her, but everyone I do know has such amazing things to say about her. I wish I'd have had that chance.

Same. I was amazed at how much the online community pulled together for her to help raise funds when the news of her illness first came out. From all the wonderful things I've heard, I wish I could have met her, too. Clearly she was a lovely person, and it's a shame to hear about her passing.

I love me some LA Banks. She was a big inspiration for me to try writing Urban Fantasy.

She was a lovely lady and will be missed.
