So, it seems the MC thread has gone to its limits and back, and I have to say, I had a blast with it. Rather than bumping it every few weeks for a post or two before it slips off the first page, why don't we give this a try... if it's lame and no one wants to do it, it shall be off the first page in a few short days, and my ego will survive!

The rules are simple - answer the question above yours, and post a question of your own. Make the answers be from the mouth of the worst villain in your novel!

We'll start off easy, then we'll get into the questions everyone wants to ask our favorite Voldemorts... boxers/briefs, favorite internet memes, and - of course - pie or cake.

Question: What is it your Antagonist wants above all else?

EDIT: Link to the Old MC Thread, in case evil isn't your game!

Hm... Let's see.

The Girl With the Green Barrette wants to Atone for her mistakes
Tlashni wants to return to the age of greatness and be a hero
The Emperor wants to Rule the dream
The Fool wants to Wake up.

Why does your antagonist get in your hero's way?

Not here, but there
All my antagonists have been some seriously dearranged lunatics, that even I can't figure out.

Why is this?

Why does your antagonist get in your hero's way?

Jeremy: "Well, I don't actually - in fact, I help her out. Until I no longer need her. Then, once she's uncovered exactly what I needed, I take it from her and proceed to resurrect the darkest magi to have ever lived. Why? Because it's my duty... my useless father sure as hell isn't gonna do it."

If your antagonist had a choice of weaponry or accessory, from any novel/movie in existence, what would it be?

Extra credit:

All my antagonists have been some seriously dearranged lunatics, that even I can't figure out.

Why is this?
Because their mothers hugged them too much or not enough, obviously!

(Realized I have more antagonists than not. Hmmm ... let's go with Big Bad.)

Gentry: Reason, from Snow Crash. There is no other answer.

If you antagonist had a theme song, what would it be?

Does your antagonist know he/she is evil? If yes, how do they justify it? If no, why not?

Yes. In fact, she enjoys being evil because it gives her a sense of evil satisfaction in knowing that her backwards morals are "better" than others.

What was the inciting incident that made your Antagonist "evil"?

Probably her birth, since competition with her twin brother is what drives her to do such "evil" things.

What's one redeeming quality of your antagonist?

What's one redeeming quality of your antagonist?

Jeremy (from Noxbringer): "Loyalty. When I pledge my oath, I will never go back on it."

And because I like this question so much...

Eviscius (from Raven's Wing): "Redeeming quality... that's a tough one. I can tear apart a human body in under 7 seconds?"

Jeremy: "Pretty sure that's not a redeeming quality... I'm pretty sure that's just terrible."

Eviscius: "Hey. You get turned into a vampire when you're 11 and spend 200 years trying to reach puberty. Let's see how many redeeming qualities YOU have!"

What is one thing that would make your antagonist stop ... antagonizing.

Death would be the only thing to stop him. He thinks that he's right and everyone else is wrong, and only killing him will make him give up. He's not so much evil as extremely intent on his goal really.

What is the worst thing your antagonist has or will do?

(This is a great idea! I've been missing the MC thread. Thanks for starting this, Mharvey!)

Moira: Well if I told you that, it would take all the fun out of the story, wouldn't it? *slow, chesire grin*

Does your antagonist want anything from your protagonist? If so, what?

Her love, but she'll never give it to him because he's an asshole (yes, I'm writing a romance. How did you guess? :tongue)

If your antagonist could be anybody from a book or film, who would they be?

Also, where is the MC thread? Is it still going?

Chi'In (from No Leaf Clover): In the words that annoy the Angel of Death so much, "She has my sword." (It's an ancient Korean shortsword that enhances the weilder's magical/psychic/supernatural powers.)

If your antagonist could be anybody from a book or film, who would they be?

Ciara Raine: That super witchy girl from the Craft. Who wouldn't want to harness the ultimate power of nature? I just wouldn't go crazy.

If your ultimate goal isn't world domination, why not?

He would be Tim Leary from Timothy Leary's Dead (1996)

Jeremy: "I'm... not a leader. I'm a follower."

Eviscius: "... So, if my eventual goal *is* world domination, should I drink a shot or something?"

Jeremy: "... you're really 2 dimensional, has anyone ever told you that?"

Eviscius: "No one who's lived."

Ah, dual-post. Answer this one instead:

Dulcie. She hates him. And rightly so.

What is your antagonist's favourite book and why?

Jeremy: "Without Love, by Heinrich Bjorn - a tragedy depicting a knight who is tasked with doing a terrible deed by the one he swore his love and honor to. Let's just say... me and the main character have a lot in common."

Eviscius: "Fag. Books suck. TV sucks. Hell, fiction sucks. People who write stories should blowdry my crotch."

What's the first thing people see when they enter your Antagonist's room?

The MMC in Suns and Stars is called Tristan. :)

Answer to your question: To bind Dulcie to him - through rape.

What is your antagonist's worst memory?

What is your antagonist's worst memory?

When the father of her son (her boyfriend) left her in an arranged marriage and ran away to go on an adventure. Or when her father died. Or when she tried to kill her brother. It's hard to choose.

What's the worst thing your Antagonist has ever done?

Finally seducing someone he's had his eye on for a while.

(Awesome thread idea, btw - I've been contemplating my antagonist lately as it is.)

Who in your story views your antagonist as the good guy/girl?
