I am looking for places you all place your books. I am on Amazon and know about B&N Nook. Where else, without an ISBN, can you place your eBook to be purchased?

Many thanks!

Amazon and Smashwords are all you really need; Smashwords distribute to pretty much all retailers other than Amazon, and provide a free ISBN if you don't have one.

Note, of course, that Smashwords does take a percentage of all sales from other sites so if you become popular at one you might want to distribute to it yourself.

Smashwords is the best bet to start off with, and then you've got all the other beta sites too like ebookling, iwritereadrate.com, firstyfish.com
It depends what genre of book you write but I've got mine with Break through Bookstore, XIN XII, eTLC.com, manic readers, lulu.

I hope this helps. I know when I first published my ebook I was so stressed I almost had a breakdown, lol. It's so overwhelming at first but it does get better!

Google will let you sell your book through independent booksellers.

iBooks needs an ISBN and cover art. You can get into iBooks through Smashwords if you prefer.

There are a bunch of small publishing sites in those dark corners of the web that nobody knows about, but you'll have to search because I forget the names.

Just sayin', worth a try.

If you need to call in FBI assistance to find a publisher, how is anyone else going to find that publisher -- and your book?

There's no such thing as a stealth publisher. Call off the titles of some books. Good! Who published them? Those are the people you should be talking to.

Speaking of Smashwords sales, here's my sales there, as of about two seconds ago:

Total Books Sold:
  • Smashwords: 209
  • Amazon: 0
  • Apple: 16
  • Barnes & Noble: 18
  • Diesel: 0
  • Kobo: 4
  • Scrollmotion: 0
  • Sony: 211
