I kept getting error messages today and couldn't get to the AW forums or site. Now the "New Posts" only show through July 6th, and then a few people just now.

What happened? Is it just me?

It was just Server Maintenance. It used to be done every Monday. This time it took a long time and went a little awry.

Aw, but we seem to have lost all the posts of the last week. The 3-D chocolate printer! And my rep points from the last week are gone, and I have to assume all the loverly reppies I gave others are gone too. And all the newbie posts -- are the people who registered this last week still registered?

Don't get me wrong, I am glad everyone's here and ok.

We had to roll back to an earlier version of the database, from 6 am Wednesday July 6.

And earlier hiccough sorta munged things badly, so surgery was required.

We're still a little fragile.

I'm sorry; I know that's rough, but this was the best choice.

As it was it took three people about sixteen hours of work.

Oops! I registered this week and had a little too much fun getting involved and posting madly the last few days. I had finally gotten up to over 50 posts, and I was all gearing up for writing critiques! Now I'm all the way back to 1 post and lost my access to the SYW forum.
