Submission Format???

I have a question for all of you who have written or are currently writing MEMOIRS - do you consider it non-fiction and submit a full proposal for it, or do you simply submit a query letter as it is narrative?

I first heard that you could do it either way, so I have always submitted a proposal. Now, I'm thinking maybe for this genre agents would prefer a simple query.

Any suggestions??

I'm wondering the same thing. I am writing a true account of a summer...it's not fiction.

Well, then it is non-fiction. We could probably help you better with the multiple questions you have been asking across the board if you told us what you really are writing. In one place its about AIDS, in another it is the memoir of a summer, in another you give an example of being about cats but say that is not really the topic. We aren't out to steal your idea, but your topics are so all over the place and so vague about age group that it is hard to give you any useful advice.
