I really have no idea where to begin. There's so much content here. I want to read it all. So much advice, so many words of wisdom and good discussion. I wish I had discovered this place much sooner!
I just started work on my first "real" manuscript. It's a science fiction story about a soldier wrongly accused of treason (in a very small nutshell). I've loved writing ever since I was a child, but only recently had the guts to look myself in the mirror and say, "Stop pretending...you want to do this for a living. Make it happen."
So in my newfound commitment to live the dream, I've been crawling the web for communities and workshops and stumbled upon Absolute Write. Such a fantastic place. I'm looking forward to getting to know you fine people and soaking up the knowledge and advice like a...like a...soaky uppy thing...
