I am self-published on Lulu (but soon to be on Amazon and B&N.com :)) and I've been getting a fair amount of people who want to review my book on their sites. Before I spend all my money sending them copies, how useful is a good review on a blog site?
Thanks!

How many books have you bought as a direct result of reading a blog review? How many books have your friends and family bought as a direct result of a blog review? Of those, how many were from the blogs which want to review you?

If your book isn't being reviewed by blogs, how do people know it exists? Sure, people may find it via Goodreads or an internet search, but I feel like the people who follow certain review blogs follow them because they value the reviewers opinions. Therefore, if your book gets a good review, the blog readers would be more likely to purchase it.
I say it's worth the investment.
Good luck!

Thank you very much! This all sounds very sensible. *Takes your good luck wishes, and tramps off to request more reviews*

Also, a fair number of book bloggers will accept electronic copies, which don't have to cost you a thing.
Just a thought. :)
