I've been lurking invisibly on the edges of various forums for the past few months, and you all have really helped me decide whether or not to query this or that agent so far.
I first jumped into the professional literary world six or seven months ago with NO idea what I was doing. It's only thanks to the blogs of Ms. Snark and Ms. Kristin Nelson that I have even an iota of knowledge about typical submission protocol.
It's probably just me, but this website looks like an adventure in and of itself, too. It's ginormous. O_O I've heard about some forums where fellow authors help with your query letters, opening chapters, etc. Could anyone be so kind as to point me out to those places?
