I am super new to this. I love literature. I write and read all the time, but have been having trouble finding a good agent to help me. I am writing and have finished one of my books for kids. They are on subjects like helping kids cope with death, illness as a child, bullies and more. All the books I read were so clinical and they didn't really reach me in any way. Is it really that hard to find a good agent???

Hello and welcome...

Writing is the easy part, finding an agent to represent you and your work is the hard part for most. Some are lucky to scoop them up quickly, but the rest of us have to remain positive and keep at it until we succeed. Best of luck.

Welcome!

Sadly, yes. But if your work is good enough, you will. It just takes time and a lot of determination, and there are a lot of helpful people here to give you a hand.

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Welcome to the board, and good luck with your special work. There are many children out there who need you. I'm sure there is an agent for your book. Hang in there.
