A writer told me about this site and I was hoping to get some advice on the publishing world. Like how to find a respectable agent. And how to find the right publishers for my children's books, my 1 poetry book, and my novel, about half way through.
The children's books are my most important project right now. Book 1 is helping kids cope with death. All the books I have found for children on the subject did not impress me. I have read my book to over a dozen kids, and every one, said almost exactly these words, "Oh, I get it now," after reading the book. And the parents always cry their eyes out. But they have said, after drying their eyes, that they thought it was sweet and honest.
Do any of you know a non-scam, non-vanity publisher that is looking for these kind of books? Ages from 3-15 for all 4 books. Three in the works, and one finished, critiqued, and edited. Just waiting for the illustrations. I value your opinions.
