Heffers, a venerable Cambridge bookshop, hosts a crime fiction evening one Tuesday evening every summer; this is the 21st year. Several dozen authors stand around next to piles of their books, drinking wine and chatting with shoppers (who have to buy tickets to get in--something like 5pounds, I think).

It's nice.
