I'm new to all this

Hi,
I'm new to using forums but enrolled here because my 28 year old son said it would be helpful for me to do it. I've just been burned by Book Pros who took my $$ and lots of it and all I have to show for it is some files. Now I'm looking at where to go next with my book, Homeschooling: Why and How / The Essentials for the Curious, the Hopeful and the Desperate (because most people who call me are desperate about how badly school is working for their kids). I found lots of good posts elsewhere for Mill City Press and guess I'll go with them. Look forward to learning about you all and how this forum thing works. Aloha from Maui, Gail

A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. Hello and welcome. There's a Newbie Guide here: http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66315 which explains some things like how to add a funny quote to your signature. If you mean the fish thing, it's the standard appelation of newbies and can be changed if you like.

Hi, Gail. I would say I'm sorry about your bad experience, but I had nothing to do with it. Its sad, unfortunate and happens all too often to decent folks. For the record : I'm all about home schooling. Schools today are little more than zoos. Good luck in your publishing pursuits.
