He played Kurt in an adaption (I think it was stage) of the Sound of Music. It is ironic because that Kurt became part of the Hitler Youth and as we (should) know, homosexuality was not accepted at the time.

Well, it seems ironic to me. :Shrug:

Oh, that's on purpose, Lisa. There was originally no Kurt character. Chris Colfer auditioned for Artie and the producers wanted Kevin for that role, but loved Chris so much they created a role for him and because of that play called him Kurt.

I know that, but if you think about Kurt in both of those things, it is sort of ironic, though not a lot of people will realise it.
