Tiddly looking harp
An expression I heard in Halifax years ago and that stuck with me. Simply mean good looking woman.
Makes sense. I remember from my time in the RCN reserves in the 1960s, the term 'pusser' meant uniforms or anything else issued by the Navy, from boots to condoms.
'Tiddly' meant a uniform specially tailored in one of the civilian shops in Halifax. If you 'looked tiddly', it meant a neat and attractive uniform. I can see how the term would expand to mean anything that looked attractive.
Or I call them a douchebag. Both work.![]()
Not sure why this word is an insult. After all, the bag is the clean end of the apparatus. On the the other hand, calling someone a 'douche nozzle' lacks a certain je ne sais quoi.
