Hey everyone! I've finished a Sci-Fi YA novel with the working title of 'We The People'. It is roughly over 56,000 words. Anyone interested just leave a comment or PM me. I'm looking for honest feedback. Feel free to rip this baby apart. I want to make this the best it can be. I was submitting to agents, but then someone here told me I should hold back on that and get a Beta Reader first. So luckily I was caught in just the first round and before I started sending out queries to the entire list I've gathered of agents. I figure it's smarter to get it ripped apart now by people here who are only trying to help me, then later on by agents, publishers or even reviewers if I would get this book published before it was ready to be. (*Cough*Like what happened with PublishAmerica*Cough*)

Here's a slight peek into what the story is about. The government of Earth has discovered an abandoned but habitable planet that had buildings on it. They formed an agency upon their find and the agency took over the planet. They reconstructed and colonized it, with the intention of bringing over only worthy and rich people from Earth and then letting all the unworthy people die. The story begins when Aliens have returned and find their planet taken over by humans. It doesn't go over well. The story mainly follows Drusilla Pruet, Rinc Wilde and Gilbert Tilly who are all children of agents that either abandoned them or were killed. Young adults, the three of them plan to take down the agency and survive the Aliens.

Thanks so much for your consideration. :)

TerraAnn,

I am new here, and though I am not a published writer, I am an avid reader and I know what I like and what I do not like.

If you can handle brutal (but respectful) honesty, then let me know and I will help you as much as possible. Also, only send me the ms if you have the patience and time. I do have 3 children and a wife, therefore my time between them and my own writing will be limited.

So, I can send you a chapter by chapter critique or read the whole thing (taking notes as I go along) and then send my thoughts when my read it completed.

What say you? :)

I say yes! :) Thank you for taking interest in my manuscript and I look forward to your honest feedback. And no worries about time. I know how it is to be busy. Family definately needs to come first. I just appreciate you being willing to be my beta reader at all. Just shoot me a PM with your email and requirements for how you want my MS formatted and I will send it on your way :) Once again, thank you for taking interest in my manuscript.

I make comments electronically, with the comment tool in MS Word.

Sci Fi is one of the genres I love to read most. I'd love to give you my two cents. I don't promise I'll finish the entire novel, but I do promise good feedback on what I read.

Sounds great! Thanks for your interest, Bartholomew!! Since my laptop is a dinasour, I don't have the comment option in my Microsoft Word. But I do plan to upgrade just as soon as things settle down here (I'm in the process of moving.) So if you wanted to wait before I send my manuscript your way so that you are able to use an editing tool you are comfortable with, I would be ok with that. Just let me know either way if you want me to wait or not. Thanks again for your interest! :)

Also, just a side note to anyone reading, I've been toying with a name change for my book. I think I'm going to change it to: Tell Me No Lies: Chronicles of a SphairaFurtumian. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on that.

Go ahead and send it. We can work out the technical details later.
