Oooh, fresh month! I have a couple of new regular gigs and an article deadline this week, but my big goal is to get the fetched book proposal done! It's non-fiction, and the sample chapter takes a lot of research. My goal is get it done by May 15. And I'd like to make at least $100 a week with DS in between everything else. After all that, I'd like my sanity back, too. ;)

Hiya plaid. Glad to hear about your goals for the month. I just posted two new posts up at my portfolio about Bin Laden. I also applied for a writing gig today. I stopped ruminating over it and just sent it out. And I'm still writing up a storm for Naptime Stories. At least twice a week because they don't have a full roster of bloggers.
I'm hoping that I can do more writing after I pass my licensing exam next week. Then I can start applying for new dayjobs. That's all from me.

Put up two posts over at my portfolio site about my thoughts regarding Bin Laden. Thinking of another post about it as well. New one up at naptime to check out. I'll be so glad once I pass my test. No more studying at least not for that. lol Later.

This month (and into next month) I'm focusing on drumming up some new commercial writing work. My plan is to cold call 1,000 local businesses to market myself.
I usually call about 25 a day, and I'm up to 430.
So far, I've gotten tons of interest -- but no actual work. However, I'm feeling pretty confident that with that many irons in the fire, some will yield results.
For the day-to-day, gory details, visit the blog/Twitter feed in my sig.

You go Ulee! :) I'm just blogging at Naptime, my portfolio and at the Freshman Writer. Started a series of posts on using the senses to get you writing. :)
