Hey there,
I think I've finally found a useful writing site :). I'm 17 and from Australia. I write mostly fantasy, though sometimes short stories in other genres. I'm terrible for picking my own work to pieces and being too nice to other people hehe. I'd love to critique anyone else's fantasy work.
So anyways, great to meet you all.

Hi there and welcome. This is a great site. I was looking for a useful writing forum for a while, as the last one I went to seemed to be more of a chat forum than anything else. It was nice to see somewhere where people were discussing writing as the main subject of the day.
Oh, and I write fantasy too. :D

Mindygal1, it's nice to have another fantasy writer join us--especially one who does critique and is kind. (Just don't lie to 'em and say it's good when it's not, since that doesn't help anybody.)

If you'll cruise around briefly in The Conference Room here, you'll find the Share Your Work boards where you can see what your fellow fantasy writers are working on. I recommend reading some of the posted excerpts and critiques before diving in headlong. It'll give you a feel for how much depth and detail is expected.
