I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to start small by getting some of my personal ministry writings published in a magazine, as has been suggested by some.
But I'm feeling a bit confused since most magazine articles are already pretty small to start with, what does it mean when they ask for a proposal. For example, one magazine says that they do not accept unsolicited manuscripts and that one has to first send in a proposal. This left me confused, since in my mind a proposal is some kind of business deal where one agrees to certain financial benefits to do certain work.
Someone please explain this to me, truely I am completely lost on this.
Also, is the manuscript, when requested, supposed to be sent in like a book, starting half way down the first page?
Thank you.
