The site's right-hand corner tells me I last visited here in 2008, though I think it was years before that that I last posted. I really got involved here when I was 14 and suicidal. Now I'm 21, on a leave just before finishing college, and taking some time to figure out my life. I feel like I've come so far.
I just got back into fiction, and I came to this site hoping to find a story I'd posted here years ago. I didn't find it--I think it got eaten or hidden by the forum move, as I posted it under an old username that can no longer be searched. But what I did find was something better. I found my rep points. 46 friendly messages from a time when I didn't have many other friends. Better, each one was linked to a post I made back then.
I've grown a lot since I was 14, obviously. Most of those posts are just embarassing. But there's a few in there that, to this day, still make me proud. And that's encouragement I need right now. If you're reading this,
