A dictionary for text messaging. Well, that's something new. How many entries does it have? Is it light and humorous? Who is the intended audience? Have you written a proposal yet? If not, you need to before you can consider contacting any publishers.

For something like this, it'd be best to try agents first that are looking for nonfiction. Research each agent to see if they're looking specifically for pop culture material.

I'd suggest you post your query in AW's Query Letter Hell in the Share Your Work forum, but you only have four posts, and you need at least fifty.

Spend some time around AW and get to know publishing and the community.

And welcome to AW.

Would people who text actually purchase a text dictionary or would they just look something up online? Who is your target market, that will help you with your query letter. Maybe you can make a website and self publish an e-book if you can't find a publisher.
Good luck.

If you wrote an amusing tongue-in-cheek guide for older folk to translate what their kids are saying, that might be something you could sell. I would try selling it off the amusing story of the mother who thought LOL stood for 'Lots of Love':

"I am sorry to say Auntie Doris passed away last night. LOL"

To everyone I appreciate all of the comments. The dictionary is actually to target Parents. I will work on all of what you've told me. I'm sorry for checking in so late but ~ wow ~ am really happy for the feedback.

It sounds like good info for an Idiot Guide book

or even their pocket guides. You can query them directly.

Google independent publishing companies. They will look at your work directly, otherwise, you must get an agent, who will show your work to bigger publishers!

There is a really large directory of publishers called writers market. I have a book from them that was made in 2001 that covers so many different kinds of places to sell your writing. They seem to of made a service out of it now, but the book is a great resource for leads to query.
