Hi all.

I'm a 32 y/o guy from New York. By day I do computer programming type stuff in a cubicle at Google, by night I write... or read... or drink (that's what writers do, right?). I share an apartment with a cat and a guitar. Both of them hate me.

I've been writing novels since I was a kid, but this last one is the first one I'm confident enough about to make a serious attempt at publication. I prefer horror/supernatural type stuff, but I've tried my hand at fantasy and contemporary as well. I've sent out a few queries but thus far haven't heard back.

Looking forward to learning a lot here at AbsoluteWrite.

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

And don't cats hate everything? That's part of their charm.
