Can you write using a pen name for Examiner.com?

There's a couple local topics I'd like to cover--I know, I know... I can only write for one topic starting out--but they're in the Bars & Clubs category. I'd like to use my Allison Kelsey name rather than my real name because:

(1) I'm looking for a Day Job and I don't want future employers Googling my real name and finding my Examiner nightlife articles. One of the topics I'm interested in is Happy Hour, so I really don't want future employers reading my Happy Hour and drink reviews. The other topic is Nightlife. That's so broad... it could cover anything from a symphony review to a bar/nightclub review... where alcohol would be involved because, I don't know, if I encounter the best gin and tonic *ever* at some bar where I'm enjoying a concert... I'm going to mention that in my review. :)

(2) The nightlife/nightlife in the city/etc. angle fits the Allison Kelsey brand I've been trying to develop.

I trolled around the best I could here on the forum and also on Google, but I couldn't find the answer.

Thanks bunches!

I know this response is like 80 years later, but you can try to use a first initial-middle initial-surname format or just use your middle name and surname. You'd still be offering them your real name (in part). I don't see why they'd refuse.

I offer this on the off chance that you've held off on signing up.
