You know the one. She'd rather sit in the corner by herself with a good book or perhaps a tablet than strike up idle chatter with the break room gossipers. My first language is sarcasm. It's also my favorite defense mechanism when meeting new people. :hi:

I write YA; typically urban romance. Making my first real effort at acquiring an agent at the moment. In my spare time (aka my day job), I'm a substance abuse counselor for teens. Makes for good inspiration.

oh hellz to the no! LOL I don't currently write fantasy but if I did, it most definitely would not include sparkly vampires. There's an essay here, but I'm guessing this isn't the place for it....and I already commented in the anti-Twilight thread in the YA section.

it's actually not...the punishment is that saccharine-loving complete strangers will come up to you at SouthPark Mall and strike up a conversation about a pair of shoes you put your hand on for two seconds to see overpriced they were.

Which is why I avoid South Park Mall, especially now that Joseph Beth Books is gone. Although I do need to bring my Mac in for a tune up, making an odd noise lately that scares me.
