I'm working on a project, self-epublished short stories. The first in the series is a freebie, which I have available for download now on my website (http://www.voireylinger.com/index.php?p=1_64_The-Mansion) and on Goodreads. I'll also feature it on the Summer Reading Trail this summer. I want to get it on as many free venues as possible to (hopefully) garner interest and catch attention for later stories as I release them.

I know not all self-pub venues take free reads. Any suggestions on which will?

Thanks. :)

Some authors have put up freebies on Smashwords with success.

You can submit a free read to All Romance Ebooks as well. The marketing director puts out a call every couple of months or so... Go here (http://www.allromanceebooks.com/advertising.html).

I put a book up on Face Book and got over 60,000 views. I put the chapters in discussions

Off the top of my head there are Goodreads, Smashwords, Wattpad and Feedbooks, who will host free stories. Smashwords also has a set of subdomains that push e-books from its various categories, and distribution options.

There are also a lot of link libraries and e-book sites who will link to it once its hosted, so once it's up, it's worth pushing it to them. I'd suggest focusing those backlinks on one of the sites, since it makes it easier to track unique downloads.

Maybe smashwords.com is a good page - or maybe also scribd.com
