Hi Everyone.

My name is Grant.

I’m just a novice writer down in good old Toronto. I’ve been writing for a while, never been published, never had the guts to show anything. I can honestly say I’m here to learn from the more experienced writers and hopefully show some of my work. Well, my first love is screenwriting. I just like the concept of it. I also enjoy creating characters; the whole process is fun to me. I’m also into poetry and short stories. Well, that’s a little about me. Hope to interact with everyone and hopefully help out too!

:welcome: to AW Grant. You'll find lots of helpful people here, no matter what you write. You'll hopefully have a lot of fun too.

That's cool. I'm moving to Brampton soon though, been in Toronto for almost a year. I'm planning to go the York next year for the writing program.

Behind you!
Nice to meet you, Grant. I'm across the lake--see that tiny figure waving? That's me. (Only time I ever qualify as a tiny figure, too.)

Hi Grant and welcome!

I new to AW, too and this was my first experience with a forum. My first post was to enter an AW contest and it was a very positive experience. I got to know other AW members and could see my work "published" when I posted my entry. I could also see the other entries along with mine. I think it's kind of unique really. When you submit work to a magazine or publisher, you don't get to see what else is in the incoming pile with yours...and you may have to wait quite a while to get feedback. There are forums where you can post your work. It's a good way to become comfortable with having others see your work and the feedback that I experienced and that I've seen with others has been positive.

I look forward to seeing some of your work here! Glad to meet you.
