Try PMing one of the mods. They may be able to help.

What Rob said. I went to the thread you mentioned, and it's strange it was locked without an explanation. Usually a mod posts and says "Closing thread for reason X."

I didn't understand you post, and wondered if it might have been reported as possible spam, but they usually say so. Send a private message to the mod of that forum or to Macallister, the uber wonder mod.

Possibly the unhelpful (?) comment got the thread closed -- possibly your post smelled a little like spam.

Probably best to PM the forum moderator(s) to ask, or use the report post button

when viewing any post in the closed thread, which will send a message directly to the forum mods.

You might PM Veinglory, and/or Goodwords, the mods of the forum in question. In general, it's better to PM the mod(s) of the particular forum, rather than opening a thread to inquire/demand/comment.

Which is why I'm going to lock this thread before it devolves.

Adding an additional comment, for anyone else's future benefit, Tech Talk is not really the place to ask why a thread had been locked (it's not a tech issue, it's a forum administration issue). Follow the advice of first contacting the moderator(s) of the forum in question.
