Hello World! *blinking courser*.

I always heard about this site but I never believed it to be this huge. There are tons of people here. It's like a breeding ground for social entrepreneurs of the literary kind.

I write middle-grade fantasy and attend Florida International University where I'm pursuing a bachelors in English (maybe). I'm trying out this whole social media thing while flirting my way through.

Saludos and kudos, and all that junk.

Well hi there and welcome

You're correct, there are a load of really knowledgeable people here. Even better, they all have a hankering to help :)

cheers

I would say "welcome!" but I'm rather new myself. Other than that however, I look forward to seeing your work. Cheers.

Hello and welcome!

I like to see it more as a writer's candy store due to all the fun stuff that's probably not good for my health (aka time). Although it probably might be more accurate as a writer's toy store--so many fun things to play with! :)

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Welcome, Daniela! Yep, though it sounds too good to be true, this IS an awesome place. I've learned a lot here.

Good luck with your studies, and we'll see you 'round the boards.

I used to work until I registered in AW . . .

Now, it seems I only have time to read threads and say howdy to a few peeps.

Yep, you have found writing wonderland. My skills improved more in six months here than in 10 years of writing on my own.

Greetings and welcome to the watercooler :welcome:

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Hi there,

Welcome! I'm new myself (sort of). Dive in everyone seems harmless enough.

OMG. Everyone is so nice here. I'm kind of having some e-culture shock here. Most of the other forums I frequent (non-writing related) are swarming with jerks. This forum makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. So thanks everyone!

P.S. - So are the majority of these forums G or PG, or can I curse? I know this is a stupid question, but I don't mean the strong words. I mean like the word that rhymes with "stick" as I almost wrote it above instead of "jerks". I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. :D
