I'm looking for a beta for the first ten chapters (because cuurently that's all I have finished) of my newest YA, urban fantasy, The Guardian's Host, currently standing at 26k. From this partnership I am hoping for an outside opinion as well as critiques and perhaps even suggestions.
Just to give a bit of an idea about the story, here is a W.I.P pitch I've been working on recently for it.
The Guardian stands as the only form of protection between the two races, but when he suddenly disappears everything falls into a state of chaos. Now Jenna, a normal high school girl, is tasked with housing the Guardian's spirit while traitors to the Peace slowly destroy the city. When the Guardian does regain his freedom the two are thrust into a dangerous quest in search of the mystery assailant.
