It seems so much of people's reading these days has to be edgy, disturbing, serious, even sad. Does anyone out there enjoy just plain escapist humor? or am I the only one?

I enjoy humor when done well. Might want to try

Don't Go There! A Robblogger Look at Travel

It's available on Kindle. I found this book to be hilarious! It's a bit of slap stick mixed with simply very funny stuff.

I'm not sure what escapist humor is.

I read some books (Robert Parker or Carl Hiassen) that are crime/detective novels with a good shake of humor in the dialogue. They make me laugh, but they are not in the "humor" category.

I also enjoy Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series and they are quite humorous.

They're very funny. They've made me laugh out loud on occasion. They have gotten less and less dark as the series has gone on.
