Who? Indie Record Label Owners to interview.

Why? This book I'm contracted to write wants profiles of success stories.

Whaddaya want? Five itty bitty questions answered via email with a photo attached to illustrate the profile.

When you need this by? Oct 19 preferably, but absolutely no later than Oct 24.

So why are you asking at this late date? Well, y'know. Stuff.

If you know of anyone fitting the description who'd like to be profiled, send 'em my way. I'd be ever so delighted.

I'm not one myself, but here's a good link - http://www.magnatune.com. They're an online 'label', with the motto 'We are not evil', keen to get as much attention as possible, and generally open to press questions.

Sent you a PM, Nicole. Good luck with your book! Sounds interesting.Thanks! Got it, and replied. Yeah--the job itself is pretty low-on-the-totem-pole, but the book's subject is fun, and I get to talk to neat people, so, cool!

For instance, I'd had no idea how many record labels were based right here in the Boulder area. Not Denver metro, but actually Boulder. And Nederland. And Niwot, for crying out loud. It's awesome to be able to send an email to them saying "I'm literally right around the corner from you. Mind if I walk on over?"
