Greetings from sunny South Africa. I can't believe my luck in stumbling upon this incredible website. Up until now I've felt very alone in my writing - then suddenly, there is a whole community of writers. I think this is fantastic! I'm looking forward to exploring, chatting and making friends.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. Thanks. I've just completed my first novel - crime/suspense - and got my first rejection letter yesterday. It was my first submission to an agent so I'm not really upset about it.

Greetings, fellow newbie! I'm from South ... Georgia, haha. Glad to hear you aren't letting the rejection letter get you down. I've had my share (although not enough to paper a bathroom, yet). I agree this is an amazing site; the volume of resources is almost overwhelming.

I have yet to receive a rejection, but then I haven't sent out my novel yet. Soon, I hope to get many rejections followed by the one great acceptance.
