Way back when I was trying to get a non-fiction book proposal (animal behavior/welfare) off the ground. If you do you might like to know it was a limited success.
I never did get any of the grants to write full-time, but the book was accepted by Blackwell Academic who know that I am working on it around another full-time job. So me and the two co-editors have about a year and a half to write the book. I would have liked to do it full time and be a 'real' writer, but hey, who needs sleep?
