I've previously made beta requests here, but I've made some changes to the opening of my dystopian/SF novel. I'm looking for someone to crit either the first section [fully edited] or the whole MS [partially edited], starting obviously with the former.
I'm quite happy to return the favor (with the knowledge that I work full-time and so it might take a little while). I'm interested in SF/fantasy, but not much else.
Anyway, to the novel. Burning Eden is the story of a post-apoc, dystopian SF where a bastardized version of Christianity rules the world. The MC, Androkles, is a Warrior, the highest possible class. Warriors guard the last human city of Eden against the barren wasteland outside populated by Demons. Until he learns his world is a lie, and has to decide which of two totally disparate worlds is the one he wants to lead the people of Eden towards.
