Though remember that Duotrope simply provides a list. It doesn't tell you the quality of what a market publishes, how well they edit, etc. Duotrope is the start of your market research, but not the end of it.

Duotrope is excellent. Duotrope also provides quality control - they don't JUST list the markets, but make sure the markets have open submission periods AND have a visible list of guidelines. When a market goes dead or unresponsive, they remove the listing.

Duotrope is aces. Ralan is also a very fine resource, if you are looking for SF/F/H markets.
