Changing avatar - Invalid File message

Probably trivial, but when I try to change my avatar (using the Browse button to upload a custom avatar) it won't let me. Says "Invalid File". Even when it's a .jpg I've used as an avatar before.

It's related to the server move guys--just be patient.

It's going to take a few days to fix the problems.

I think we've got it.

Would one or more volunteers please try:

1. Editing your signature

2. Changing your Profile image

3. Changing your Avatar image

To make it easier, please stick to small images.

I edited my signature without any trouble (but my signature is very simple).

I could NOT load a new avatar.

I'll go through the other items now.

Tried again using an avatar image much smaller than I'm allowed. No go. I get the same error message.

I even tried one that was less that 80x80 and got the same message.

If you want me to try anything else, let me know. I'm using reduced size images of avatars I've used before just to be sure it's not something on my end.

If you ignore the error, does the image in fact display after all?

Yes, I'm just uploading by doing the usual "browse" upload.

It does not display at all.

I'm sure it doesn't matter in this case, but I'm using Firefox on Windows.

My sig picture also vanished, and I got an invalid file message when I tried loading one back yesterday, but now it's been loaded successfuly.

I used a direct link to a Photobucket image. Did not work yesterday; (also tried uploading an image from my computer) this time it did.

Yesterday, when the invalid file message came up, there was no image displayed if ignored.

I've disabled the http link upload method; it shouldn't work.

But uploading from your local computer should work fine now.

Please let me know if it doesn't.

Also, I know there are problems with some smilies; I'll get that fixed asap.

It's full-size; I didn't even try to use a reduced size image.
