Okay, so up front I'll admit I'm a massive Sorkin fan. A Few Good Men is one of the best scripts I've ever read.

For those of you who aren't Deadline Hollywood nuts (like I am), I highly recommend reading this interview with the man that includes a link to his script for The Social Network.

For those of you wondering about how to write an AMAZING page 1. Here it is. Wondering about how to really hook in the first ten pages. Read on.

My prediction is that it'll snag the Best Adaptation Oscar, although I haven't finished reading all the other contenders. I don't have a prediction for Best Original Screenplay. Yet...

Enjoy!

I agree. Sorkin in this flick rocks. I don't go as far as you do, but he definitely has the right touch. Dialogue is king in his world; he has a certain magic w/ it.

I think the screenplay has great dialogue, but I don't think screenwriting is just dialogue. Movies like True Grit, Winter's Bone and 127 Hours perhaps didn't have the catchy one-liners Sorkin is so adept at. But they had better visual storytelling. They communicated more information visually and aurally, and that for me is superior storytelling.
