View Full Version : Book promotion on blogs
To get someone to mention your book in a major blog, do you have to send them a free copy of your book? I think the publisher is doing things like that, but I want to contribute if I can.
I think I need to add interesting content to my blog and then try to get it spread around so that people come to the blog and see my book there.
I have found it difficult to promote, but I am on twitter and am trying different things.
It seems to me the best way would be to make your blog go 'viral' because of some interesting content.

Well, you would need to send them the book, and they would need to want to see it and blog about it. So if you can think of a blogger who, objectively-speaking, would be interested in your book, there is nothing wring with offering them a copy. Even then you have a pretty big chance that you will send the book and nothing more will ever happen....
Thanks for the info - Yeah I think that is the only way to go about it

I wrote a guest column on how to set up and execute a virtual (blog) book tour that you might find helpful. Here's the link:

The link isn't working for me! I'd love to learn about doing a virtual book tour.

Thank you! :)
I'm going to take a read, it looks helpful and I could use some tips in this department.
