I've been working on a outline for a heist script and ive just been thinking about adding a bank robbery scene. Would you suggest I use the real name of an actual bank or make up one?

It would make everything easier just to make one up.

Bank names are so regional and "here today-gone tomorrow" that unless it's essential to the plot/story, I'd just make one up. Fusion is always a good way to go if you don't want to waste creative energy here. Was there even a bank name mentioned or shown in Heat?

Sunbank of America anyone?

Your script would imply that the security at said bank was insufficient to keep out the robbers. Unless the robbers use an extremely convoluted and risky method no one would dare to copy, I'd go with a fictional bank.
