Hi! I joined a while ago but forgot to introduce myself. I`m an 18 year old writer from England.

Where are you from? There are some other Britts who hang around here.

I sometimes feel I'm over there. In our office of 8 here in Texas there are 4 from Wales and one Danish - a person not a pastry.

What do you write?

Come on, let us know a little about you.

Behind you!
In that case, a double welcome to both Robert and dippykitty.

Come on, you two, share with us what sort of thing you most like to write.

Maryn, who can see one brilliant red leaf

Hi, Thanks for all the lovely welcome messages. Apologies for not replying sooner. I`m from Derby. I write quite a lot of sports articles, mainly tennis and Formula One, but I also do a bit of health writing and features type writing for womens publications. Most of my writing has been unpaid until now, but the other week I got a gig for 2 articles and I`m going to be paid £150 per article. So that`s cheered me up.

That`s me done, how about you?

Hi NZ!Thanks.I didn`t think I`d come on here and find someone who lives about half an hour away from me! How`s your writing going?

Sorry to hear that, hope things pick up soon :) I finished my A Levels in June, and I`m doing an Open University course next year, so hopefully I`ll have a bit more time to do my writing than I would do at actual uni.

hey dippy, good idea on the Open Uny!
alas, I never had the balls (metaphorical balls) to take up any kind of writing course, which explains a lot. i checked out your site - very interesting stuff. have you seen the nottingham tennis centre?

Thanks NZ. No, I haven`t seen the tennis centre at Nottingham. What`s it like? Is that the one they hold the tournament at Nottingham in June? My OU course is in Social Sciences, I was planning to do a writing course but I`m a bit broke and it was a toss-up between that and the OU course so I figured I`d do the OU and do a writing course in my 6 months off.

Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome!
