At first I laughed aloud when I read the title. But, I have been smitten. Check out the trailer and dare to tell me you are not:

While I love Harrison Ford and his part in this movie, it is Daniel Craig's acting that has made me want to watch his James Bond movies. Wow!

Tell me what you think. It won't be released until July 29, 2011.

I saw it during previews for Harry Potter. I cried more during this preview than I did when Hedwig died.

Lame.

Depressing.

Harrison Ford - what hath become of thee?!?

It was this trailer you saw, c.h? I admit, Ford was a bit hammy, but Craig was spot on.

Personally, I can't wait for this movie! Fantastic actors and a plot that hasn't been done to death. Plus, I love westerns and science fiction. I am eager to see the tie-together.

I'm excited :D I just got through seeing The Warrior's Way (not a high-quality movie by any standards, but funny to watch), which is cowboys and ninjas. This is the natural next step.

I agree on the look we get of Harrison Ford in the Teaser. The "or I'll take 'im!" order is classic ham acting from the old westerns (though since he did a few of those, maybe it was intentional)

The rest of it looks interesting, though. Something that does bug me is the woman in the movie (the one from House) Daniel Craig meets in the saloon. From her make-up, and some of the things I've read, it seems she's supposed to be Apache. Now, if she's supposed to be half-Apache, I can understand, but if she's supposed to be full blood Native American, their casting is way off, and the make-up isn't sufficient to cover for it.

Jon Favreau said he wanted the "spaghetti western" look and feel...

I didn't realize she was supposed to be an Apache. But, hey, James Bond is in this movie!

Thanks for posting. I always consider the opinion of others, although I usually hold on to my own. I like to hear what you have to say.

I saw the trailer for this today, and it looks great. Have to admit the title is silly. My husband actually started laughing at it, but I would like to see it.

I actually think the title is great, it reflects (at least I hope reflects) what they're trying to do with this movie: make a spaghetti western that happens to have aliens in it. So instead of "Cowboys and Indians" it's "Cowboys and Aliens". I also think the title is meant to be funny, it's meant to make people laugh. I hardly think this film is taking itself seriously, even if the characters within it do.

.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional. Like I said with the title, this is meant to be a classic old western with a twist. Which helps make the premise even more awesome.

Look at who the director and producers are... not a failure in the group.

They know what they are doing.

Oh, I am sure it is intentional, and I think the title works. Just had the wrong funny effect on him.
