It's tough to fit the concept into the title, so please forgive my ambiguity.

I'm working on a music project with an ongoing storyline. The songs, while able to stand on their own, are often interrelated and depict a contigious world where the dead rise ( of course ) and various story arcs give insight to the human condition amidst the decay of civilization as we know it.

But wait! There's more.

They say there's nothing new beneath the sun, and I know the aforementioned concept is not new in itself. How it comes about, well that narrows it down, and that the condition isn't always permanent or entirely debilitating throws more variables into the mix. I won't spill all the beans here, so you'll need to contact me for more.

The music project, and really the reason for the band existing to begin with, is a means of taking this show to the people. We'll be in appropriately cadaverous makeup / prosthetic while performing, video footage in glorious black and white projected behind us depicting the story as it unfolds, and planted outbreaks in the audience to cause a blood spattered stir. All in all, a fairly theatrical entry to the horror music scene.

While developing the story I realized it was bigger than what I could tell by way of the music, and I began outlining the character's evolution and back stories. While I'm an avid reader and would love to dive into adding "author" to my resume, there's just not enough hours in the day, so I have begun to post on message boards in hopes of finding an aspiring author who would like to work with me and see this project come to life.

I have outlines and timelines to get things rolling, and have the better part of 18 songs already written or partially completed. This would be an opportunity to see what we write set to music and video - in a theatrical manner - without coming across like a "musical".

Any takers? Know anyone that would be a good fit for such an endeavor? I'd certainly like to hear from you. Please email me at [email protected]
