I thought mabes I could festive up my avatar in the spirit of the holidays, but I can't seem to re-upload my pic with even the barest of sparkle-tags w/out getting the "file's to big" error. I'm just using Photobucket's animated stuff. It seems to save edited pics as GIFs on the site. I don't know what that means, exactly, but it seems like something I should share.
I even tried it with just one *tiny* shimmering star to see if the problem was that I'd been going hog-wild, but nothing doing.
Is there a way to give my gnome some holiday beshizzle by converting the animations in a way that lets him sparkle w/out over-taxing the file size allowance? I feel like I've seen lots of animation around these parts, but don't know how to do it. (I encourage you to talk down to me, BTW -- I really don't have the know-how to match my lofty tech ambitions and I get cold feet even creeping into this area of the forum. I started looking for like-minded threads, but then everything went blurry and I fell down.)
