Canadian! *Insert Teenage Chatspeak Here*

Hello to all who happen to read this little thread of happy-greetings. Yes, I sound incredibly naive by that statement alone, but despite reading the H&H thread, which describes contracts which is better placed in a horror novel, I still feel unusually chipper for a 16 year old male...

*Mutters about royalty swindlings*

Anyway, contrary to what one or two of you might be thinking, I am a writer. Honest! I'm not exactly a published writer just yet, unless you count a poem that got in my local newspaper when I was in Grade 5, or the book report on Harry Potter that won the Globe and Mail contest, but when it comes to my current goal (novels) I am relatively new to the field.

An introduction, perhaps... well, my name is Joel, and as mentioned above, I am a Canadian. From Quebec, specifically. Also, as above mentioned, I am 16 years old. Been writing novels since I was in around Grade 7... (not good novels, per say, just ones that were 100 000+ words, first one was based on, predictably enough, a videogame, copyright issues kept me from wanting to publish it. Also, it pretty much sucked. XD )

Anyway, right now I am a senior in High School, with a particular strength in English Literature... my current project is a fantasy novel, one I actually plan on getting published this time, which is current in the process of being re-written by myself because of plot inconsistencies and the fact that since I finished writing the first one, my grammar and writing style has improved. Considerably.

Anyway, I suppose that's about it, unless anyone has any questions of any kind, such as "why are you bragging?"

Answer: I'm not! Just giving some background!

Sooooo, anyway, now that I have embaressed myself sufficiently, I will now leave you to wonder what went wrong with my genes...

Milk... I like milk. O.O; I prefer cheese, which is technically petrified milk, but still... lost my train of thought. ><
