In my novel there is a large chunk of it centering around a war. Now, one side has about 15 people on it and they're fighting about....say, 33000 or something. I'm thinking about including the US Army. How would I go about this? I'm thinking they show up after noticing conflicts and stuff....Advice, please! :D

Fifteen against 33,000! The fifteen had better have a nuclear weapon, and the 33K better be in a tight bunch at ground zero. That's not a war at all. I doubt American forces would ever go into such a conflict.
To bring American forces in, there usually must be national interest at stake, American lives in danger, etc. Generally speaking, the President sends in the Marines and Congress sends in the army, thought this is a huge simplification.

Well, they've got flaring/ice hands....SUPAH POWAHS. XD
Also, the antag is planning (I believe. haven't decided yet) to either destroy or give super powers to the rest of the americans.

Super powers might bring in the military. Don't know. Never been attacked by super powers.

How about threat to the President or someone important? You need to give the Americans some stakes and a reason to go to war. Like in X2, the government got involved because the President's life was threatened... I don't know.

Maybe there is absolute sure knowledge that they possess weapons of mass destruction. Or need a regime change. I heard somewhere that those reasons work.

Don't be silly, that would never happen - this story needs to be believable, AncientEagle!!!

Heck, to spread democracy. That'd work.

Sorry. I got carried away. Was thinking fantasy, but I guess that would be going too far even for fantasy.

Somewhere a republican is sitting quietly, holding his tounge.
(Actually I kinda chuckled. See, Repubs have a sense of humor too!)

Hey, I'm a Republican who's about seven steps to the right of Reagan, and I kind of chuckled myself. Not that I thought it was funny. Just typical. Insiders know we really invaded Iraq because that's where the Holy Grail is hidden.

Holding my tongue just makes me realize how bad my fingers taste. Gotta wash my hands more often.

perhaps the americans need the "supapowahs" to fuel their giant mega ships and heat their massive biodomes. would make sense for america to invade a country for these resources.

Supernatural intervention would be the only way for 15 to beat 33,000 - don't ya think? So snickering Republicans may be the way to go, considering Bush's faith and all. This battle, by the way nachonaco Grippers, where is it located? If it's in Louisiana you can't bring in the U.S. Army. The Governor would rather wait it out and see how it all turns out before allowing the Federal Government to interfere.

It's set in the outskirts of Washington D.C.
